Inspiration for a painting can come from anywhere you happen to be. One day last summer I was passing by a street vendor's flower stand in the city and was immediately drawn in by all the beautiful colours. Sunflowers are a subject I've always wanted paint so I chose these ones to bring home and decided to paint them as well.

Lovely! I like the way you set them on a board and have the cloth falling off the back side. Super idea! The vase is a great splash of colour.
