One day near Halloween I was walking through the grounds of one of the beautiful National Trust properties and found a variety of nuts and leaves that caught my eye. I put them together with our pumkin and came up with the idea for this painting. The cloth was especially fun to do!

Hi Geri ! this is soooo lovely! You give this autumn still life a romantic feel. I love the green background with the orange of the pumpkin. The lacey cloth is terrific.
